Summit LNG Supplying Up To 550 MMCFD, Easing Gas Constraints

Moheshkhali, (August 14, 2026, Friday): Summit LNG Terminal ("SLNG") has started send out of approximately 110 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of regasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) to Bangladesh’s national gas grid at 6:10 pm on 14th August 2026 upon the arrival of an LNG carrier to Moheshkhali. SLNG has remained fully available and operational at full capacity as it awaited the arrival of the LNG carrier. SLNG will reach full speed of 550 mmcfd supply approximately at 2 am on 15th August 2026.

The increased supply is expected to help improve gas availability for industries, power generation and other consumers, supporting economic activity and reducing pressure on the country’s energy system.

Summit LNG remains committed to maintaining safe and reliable operations and maximising gas delivery within the technical capacity of the terminal and the national gas transmission system.
