Ryutaro (Ryan) Suzuki

Ryutaro (Ryan) Suzuki is the Chief Operating Officer of JERA Asia Pte. Ltd. and Executive Officer of the Asia & Middle East Group, Platform Business Division, JERA Co., Inc, a position he has held since August 2024. He is a member of the Company's Audit and Risk Committee (ARC) and Remuneration and Nominating Committee (RNC).

Mr. Suzuki joined JERA in January 2020 as Senior Advisor in the Natural Resources Business Development Group, before being appointed General Manager of the LNG Value Chain Business Development Section later that year. From 2021 to 2024, he served as Executive Officer of the Energy Transition Group. Through his tenor in JERA, he was responsible for strategy, business development, and asset management of JERA’s natural gas/ LNG downstream value chain mainly in Asia and the Middle East.

Prior to joining JERA, Mr. Suzuki spent close to three decades at MUFG Bank, Ltd., where he held senior positions across project finance, corporate banking, and regulatory governance in both Asia and Canada. His roles there included Head of Structured Finance for the Asian Investment Banking Division, Vice President of MUFG Canada, and Global Head of Data Governance in the bank's Global Compliance Division, giving him a strong track record in complex financing transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Mr. Suzuki holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Economics from Osaka University.
