Summit LNG Terminal Co. (Pvt.) Ltd. (“SLNG”) is privileged to celebrate the milestone completion of its 250th Ship-to-Ship (STS) operation, achieved with consistent commitment to world-class safety and operational excellence.

During the 2024–2025 financial year alone, the terminal has supplied approximately 13% of the country’s total gas demand, playing an indispensable role in ensuring Bangladesh’s energy security. Since its commissioning in April 2019, SLNG has received 35,054,637 m³ of LNG and supplied approximately 785,549,295 MMBTU of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) to the national gas grid.

SLNG conveys its sincere appreciation to Excelerate Energy LP and PSA Marine, Singapore for their exemplary contributions in maintaining safe, efficient, and uninterrupted STS and terminal operations.

We remain deeply grateful to our valued client—the Government of Bangladesh, Petrobangla, and RPGCL—for their continued trust in Summit. SLNG also acknowledges the support of its foreign lenders, including SMBC, Singapore and others, whose partnership has been integral to our operational journey.

The company is equally proud to celebrate this milestone alongside its engineering and classification partners: MacGregor, Geocean, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Bureau Veritas (BV), and Shelf Subsea.

SLNG is honoured that leading global oil and gas majors—including QatarGas, BP, Shell, Total, Chevron Shipping, Cheniere Energy, Petronas and NLNG—have vetted the Terminal as a safe and compliant facility.

We also recognise the invaluable support of numerous government and regulatory bodies, including the Department of Shipping, Chittagong Port Authority, Department of Environment, BIDA, BERC, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Customs, NBR, RJSC, Department of Explosives, Bangladesh Bank, GTCL, Bangladesh Navy, Coast Guard, Moheshkhali Upazila Administration, BIWTA, Department of Fisheries, Home Ministry, Ministry of Finance, River Police, and the Cox’s Bazar District Administration

SLNG also expresses gratitude to LNG suppliers – Qatar Energy, BP Shipping, Nakilat Shipping, Maran Gas Maritime, MOL LNG Shipmanagement, NYK, K-Line, Höegh LNG, Teekay Shipping, Golar LNG, and Shell International Trading & Shipping Co. Ltd. (STASCO), —whose collaboration has ensured the continuous success and safety of offshore STS operations.

Lastly, SLNG proudly celebrates the dedication, professionalism, and resilience of its employees, whose unwavering commitment keeps the terminal operating safely and efficiently every day.
